dc.description.abstractRestless legs syndrome is a common neurological disorder characterized by intense restlessness, relaxed with action, disturbance in the limbs and unpleasant sensations. Treatment should be considered if restless legs syndrome symptoms lead to sleep disturbances or affect daytime functions significantly. The purpose of this review is to summarize the evidence-based recommendations of the American Academy of Neurology, published in 2016, for the treatment of restless legs syndrome in adults.
