Item Reliability and validity of the Turkish version of the movement imagery questionnaire-3: Its cultural adaptation and psychometric properties(WOLTERS KLUWER MEDKNOW PUBLICATIONS, 2020-01-01) Dilek, Burcu; Ayhan, Cigdem; Yakut, YavuzObjective: Motor imagery (MI) is the mental representation of a movement without any body movement, and it has been recently used as a therapeutic intervention in rehabilitation. The Movement Imagery Questionnaire-3 (MIQ-3) is the most recent, modified version of the MIQ-revised, second edition, which is commonly used to measure the imagery ability of patients with movement dysfunction. The purpose of the study was to translate the MIQ-3 into Turkish and evaluate its test and retest reliability and validity for the Turkish-speaking population. Methods: Among 185 healthy participants, 181 completed the procedures. The questionnaire was applied to 86 participants with 1-week interval to evaluate internal consistency and test-retest reliability. The construct validity of the MIQ-3 was tested by confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). Results: The internal consistency of the Turkish MIQ-3 was satisfactory (Cronbach's alpha was 0.87 for test and 0.86 for retest reliability). The internal consistency of subscales for test-retest reliability (internal visual items, external visual items, and kinesthetic items) was 0.73-0.68, 0.74-0.72, and 0.79-0.73, respectively. Test-retest reliabilities of each item ranged from 0.84 to 0.95. In terms of criterion validity, there was an excellent correlation between subscales and total scale correlations, which ranged from 0.50 to 0.90 (P < 0.001). The validity of the MIQ-3 was examined with CFA, and the results supported a three-factor model of movement imagery ability. Conclusion: The Turkish MIQ-3 has an excellent reliability and good-to-excellent validity in evaluating MI ability.Item RELIABILITY AND VALIDITY OF TURKISH VERSION OF THE CHILD FEEDING QUESTIONNAIRE(NATURE PUBLISHING GROUP, 2010-01-01) Erdim, L.; Kuguoglu, S.; Ergun, A.Item Validity and reliability of the measure yourself medical outcome profile 2 (MYMOP2) questionnaire among Turkish patients having anorectal disorders(AVES, 2019-01-01) Ersoy, Ozdal; Temel, Yasemin Ecem; Alptekin, Hasan KeremBackground/Aims: Measure Yourself Medical Outcome Profile 2 (MYMOP2) is a patient-generated outcome measure allowing patients to select the problems that are the most important to them and that they want to address, and it measures the effects of the problem from a wide range of health care interventions. This study aimed to translate the questionnaire into Turkish language (Turkish MYMOP-TMYMOP) and add this clinically useful measure to Turkish medical practice by assessing its validity and reliability. Materials and Methods: Fifty volunteers with anorectal disorders were prospectively included into the study. Each patient was enrolled into a pelvic floor training biofeedback program, specific to their anorectal symptomatology. The subjects were administered both the Nottingham Health Profile and the TMYMOP2 questionnaires before the treatment session (initial visit) and at the control follow-up visits (the first and second months, via e-mail or telephone calls). Results: The TMYMOP2 questionnaire was shown to be moderately valid (the Pearson correlation coefficient score between the total scores of the subgroups of the two questionnaires were 0.335 and 0.642, respectively, p<0.05) and highly reliable (the Cronbach's alfa coefficient score between the total scores of the subgroups of the two questionnaires were 0.77, 0.82, and 0.88 in the beginning and at the first and second month follow-up visits, respectively). Conclusion: The TMYMOP2 was shown to be a low-to-moderately valid and a highly reliable scale. Because it is brief and short to complete, it might be an important and free-to-use tool to measure the diseases, and it can enhance the patient-centered care within the Turkish health care context.Item Reliability of Measurements on Plaster and Digital Models of Patients with a Cleft Lip and Palate(AVES, 2019-01-01) Yilmaz, R. Burcu Nur; Cakan, Derya Germec; Altay, Merve; Canter, Halil IbrahimObjective: The purpose of this study was to determine (1) the more and less reliable measurements/methods and (2) the influence of knowledge and skill on the inter-examiner, intra-examiner, and inter-method reliability of nasolabial measurements on plaster casts and three dimensional (3D) stereophotogrammetric images of casts in infants with an unrepaired unilateral cleft lip and palate (UUCLP). Methods: Preoperative extraoral plaster casts from 42 patients with UUCLP were measured with a digital caliper, and the image acquisition of casts was performed with the 3dMDface stereophotogrammetry system (3dMD, Atlanta, GA). Two examiners (one post-graduate student, one lecturer) evaluated 19 nasolabial measurements in two separate sessions. Results: Intra-rater, inter-rater, and inter-method reliability was lower in measurements of nasal, philtral, and nasal floor width. Almost all of the interclass correlation coefficients (ICC) for measurements performed by the lecturer were above 0.75, whereas the intra-examiner reliability of some measurements performed by the postgraduate student showed low ICC (< 0.75). Conclusion: Measurements of curving slopes, such as nasal width, of small dimensions, such as nostril floor width, and deformity-affected anatomic parts, such as philtrum width, presented a low reliability. Measurements on 3D images showed a higher reliability compared to plaster model measurements performed by the postgraduate student. Therefore, it may be recommended to use 3D digital images of infants with CLP for nasolabial measurements especially if performed in postgraduate settings.
